Graduation thesis subjects are requested from the faculty members one month before the beginning of the fall and spring semesters academic calendar. Each faculty member is required to complete three graduation theses, at least two "annual" and one "semester". The rules to be followed regarding the dissertations are given below.

GENERAL RULES
 
1. Faculty members fill in the "graduation thesis subject notification form" online. The link of this form is shared with the faculty members on the relevant dates.
 
2. Graduation thesis topics are announced to students on the department web page and on the department bulletin boards in the second week of the academic calendar of each semester.
 
3. Students select the thesis they want to prepare, meet with the advisor faculty member and complete the registration process. One copy of the "Graduation Thesis Student Registration Form", which is filled in two copies and signed by the advisor, is submitted to the Graduation Thesis Commission and the other to the advisor faculty member.
 
4. A maximum of 3 students can be registered per graduation thesis.
 
5. Registration is completed within one week following the announcement.
 
6. After the completion of the graduation thesis registrations, additional topics can be announced if needed.
 
7. The graduation thesis subjects that are not registered by the students in the said semester can be transferred to the next semester depending on the request of the relevant faculty member.
 
8. Graduation theses are prepared in 2 copies in total by considering the "writing rules for the graduation thesis". One of these two copies is submitted to the archive of the graduation thesis and the other to the thesis advisor.
 
9. Each group completing their dissertation presents their posters prepared according to the "Poster preparation rules" and their oral presentations on the subject at the place and date to be determined by the department chair.
 
10. Completed dissertations are recorded and archived in the department. Lists of completed dissertations are presented on the department web page.
 
11. Students in the following situations can take a semester graduation thesis:
 
- Students who will graduate at the end of the relevant semester,
 
- Students who will study abroad with the Erasmus Program in the first semester of the fourth grade, will be able to complete all the courses in the second semester of the fourth grade and graduate (in case there is no course required in the fall semester),
 
- Students who will study abroad with Erasmus Program in the second term of the fourth grade
 
- Students who are in the first semester of the third grade in the fall semester and will complete the second semester of the fourth grade in the spring semester and continue crosswise will be able to receive an annual graduation paper. These cross-continuing students will also be able to take a semester graduation paper in the first semester of the fourth grade (in case there are no courses required for the spring semester), and an annual graduation paper even if they have not completed their classes for the spring semester.
